Do you wish you could start your own Community?
Many of you most likely have, given that this site is targetted at vBulletin owners. 
In that case, this review of vBulletin will have less value to you.. but may convince you to pick up another Licence. 
My reason to purchase vBulletin came when my community had grown to 100+ members. pphBB didn't sut it any more, what with the copious amounts of hacking required to get it non-standard, and IPB was.. well, a bit childish.
On to vB.
Out of the box, you are presented with a nice looking forum. It's when you start poking around under the hood that things start to get interesting.
Features: Too numerous to list all of them but here are a few:
- Database-driven Template system - never have to edit a file just to change a span setting!
- Usergroup Permission System - hide your Staff Forums from everyone, make your Private forums available to certain Groups, limit Private Messaging, allow/disallow Avatar Usage.. the list goes on.
- NEW TO 3.6.x! Infraction System - Set Warning Levels and auto-ban or demote members who break your rules.
- Integrates with many popular pieces of Software - Add Photo Galleries, Chat Rooms, Journals, Games Arcades etc.
Price: ($USD)- $85 - Leased Licence. After 1 year, you must either renew (at $85 or whatever the rate is at the time) or remove the software from your site.
- $160 - Owned Licence. Never runs out ($30 for yearly updates - free Security updates). I recommend this option.
